Letter, 1776 September 16.

Letter to Cyrus Keith. In this letter Keith discusses, at length, his philosophy on manners and "indelicate" acts. He also describes the Continental Army's retreat from Long Island and New York City. The letter also discusses Keith's relations with a ten year old girl, the neice of Colonel Cortlandt. Written at Kingsbridge, N.Y.
